Area Pair Indicted On Weapons Charges

Freehold man and Howell woman involved with sale of stolen guns, indictment says

A Freehold man and a Howell woman were indicted Tuesday on a host of weapons charges stemming from a February arrest, according to an indictment. Evan A. Franco, 21, of Freehold and Arielle A. Lingard, 21, of Howell, were indicted Tuesday in Monmouth County Superior Court in a 5-count indictment stemming from a February 7 arrest for weapons possession, according to the indictment. The indictment charges Franco of stealing guns from a Howell address and charges both with selling the pair of semi-automatic handguns in Howell and Freehold, according to the indictment. Franco was charged with theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful sale of a firearm and conspiracy. He has an additional charge because he is barred by a previous …

Toms River and Howell Residents Among Those Charged in Lakewood Drug Busts

Drugs and weapons charges were issued by authorities following two searches last week

Toms River and Howell residents were among the 11 charged with drug offenses following Ocean County Special Operations-led searches of Lakewood residences last week. The searches, conducted in two homes and two vehicles in conjunction with authorities in Lakewood and Brick, led to the discovery of drugs, packaging and distribution supplies, and semi-automatic handguns, according to Capt. Jack Sramaty of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group. On Feb. 5, county and Lakewood detectives searched a Coventry Drive residence and seized over one-half ounce of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of marijuana, $1185 in cash, and materials associated with packaging and distributing drugs, Sramaty said.
