Replywarren,
i think the flood ins premiums goes to the federal flood ins program, and the ins companies "manage the program" which was no doubt raided over the years by greedy stupid politicians to balance other budgets.
just like all the surplus monies from nj turnpike and GSP disappeared to balance or offset budget gaps in NJ .....
november is time to vote these crooks out, but somehow, they always get re elected...
car insurance rate wise, is a lot better than has been, if not for the state allowing other companies like geico in, rates would be impossible to afford.
remember , we live in a very congested state, busy roads equal more risk of crashs.
sad too some insurance companies use personal credit scores to rate premiums.
i had been a customer of NJ skylands for 25 years, then one day my auto went thru roof, along with homeowners renewal....... hello NJM, goodbye nj skylands..... -

Replybenny s invading berkeley ??
if the "old" residents wanted it to stay the same they should have bought up all the land, and control it the way they wanted.i battle the quads on a weekly basis in my area, it is ridiculous, coming off a dirt roads onto 40 mph plus cross traffic.... just a matter of time until that quad rider becomes an organ donor.
and the noise, many of the quads are modified, exhaust systems taken off, noise levels off the charts. yeah, i am so glad i moved to berkeley, 9,000 / yr in taxes to listen to that.

Replywell said wookfish ! !
the programs you mentioned raided the piles of money that are for the "rainy" day. now the state of NJ is screwed, the revenue shortfalls are going to be unheard of.
i just drove thru seabright sunday, 9 out 10 houses or so , are gutted out, and no activity on repairs otherwise. the only rebuild activity is the beach clubs.
sad situation for sure for NJ
and lets not forget the ratable s the towns will loose due to the uninhabitable houses off the tax roll.... berkeley township is estimating a 30% loss of tax ratables, whats that going to do to my tax s ??

Replyaren't the laws regarding securing all types of guns in new jersey already very strick ? i would imagine it being up to the state to charge the offenders with the laws already written..
this sounds like the ocean cty prosecuter does not want to do his job , considering case was moved to atlantic county.....
i don't know, something sounds fishy here.

Replyrip to the person trying to help.....
the parkway is a death trap just driving, let alone trying to be on foot on it.....
as other post s said,
get out of vehicle, stay on other side of guard rail, or far off the shoulder and call for help... more likely than not , the car will get hit by a driver not paying attention.
